About Detroit Children’s Museum
The Detroit Children’s Museum is located at 6134 2nd Ave, Detroit, MI 48202. While currently closed for revitalization, it previously offered school field trips and artifact lending programs. Upon reopening, planned features include rotating exhibits, science and art stations, imaginative play areas, interactive displays focusing on Detroit’s history and culture, a planetarium, and child-friendly galleries. The museum houses over 2.5 million artifacts, encompassing fossils, historical items, and scientific and cultural objects.
